More from Jayden's 2nd Brithday

Jayden on his maiden voyage.
Construction cake.
Edible green (not mouldy) coconut grass. Ground up bikkie "dirt". Lots of sugary icing for a diabetics nightmare.

Something tells me that he is onto us. Where is my pay? I've cleaned this whole house.

Blowing out the candle. Yeah ok look, we know he is 2 but we are renovating and cannot afford another musical candle.

Various pics to catch up on

Foundations for the terrace and entrance.

Jayden told me "don't hate the playa hate the game" after whipping me at frogger.

In mums shoes.

Where are my bunnies gone?

For some reason Jayden just loves to have his shirt on his head like that.

Tissue for cleaning.

What happens when we hold an easter egg while watching TV.

Our Kitchen...lol

A hard days work.

Day at Lone Pine

Today Jayden had his first day at Lone Pine. He's been to see the animals in the little baby petting zoos that go to the shopping centres but today was the first real zoo. We seemed to have a love hate relationship with most of the animals so I don't think he'll be the next Steve Irwin or Dr Harry just yet. We got an annual pass so hopefully he'll have time over the next 12 months to work on his relationships with the occupants!
I think Jayden thought the sheep wanted to eat him!
The lorikeets were a similar story. Jayden had worked himself up to trying to pat the birds when one decided that Jayden was interupting his feeding and bit him on his finger. Needless to say there was tears :-)

The kangaroos faired a bit better for Jayden. It might be due to the fact that they've had so much food from all the tourists that they are pretty much comatose.

Some things to catch up on...

I've lost track on how many times I have apologised for the time between posts so I thought it was probably better just to summarise what has been going on in the Kloboucek household since the end of last November.
  • We had a lovely Christmas Day with Jayden, the Klobouceks and the Fosters. Jayden got to open his pressies in the morning and really got into it this year, tearing lots of paper and getting excited over the pressies and of course the boxes. We had the morning at the Fosters and the afternoon at the Klobouceks.
  • On the 4th Jan we moved in with Nath's parents while Nath and I were still on holidays. We have moved as our house undergoes major renovations which will probably take between 6-9 months.
  • The week of the 11th January I had to go to Salt Lake City for work. I went from 30 degree temperatures in Brisbane to -7 degrees. It was a very full on week but it was good to be back in the US again. I really like Salt Lake City. It is very safe and it has 4 distinct seasons. Can't say that I will be converting to LDS anytime soon though.
  • On the 22 Jan our house (that didnt get moved to the Klobouceks) was packed up and put into storage. It is hard to believe that all our stuff did manage to fit into a 7x3m shed!
  • On the 1st February we went down to Burleigh Heads for a couple of weeks holiday. The weather was mixed - we had a lot of sunny and hot days but also a number of rainy days. We were just glad to have some time to relax (and not pack!).
  • Also on the 1st Feb our renovations started. By the time we returned from our 2 weeks holiday it was amazing what had already been done.
That's it in a nutshell. A lot has been going on. I cant promise when the next post will be but I hope it will be in the near future!
