Some things to catch up on...

I've lost track on how many times I have apologised for the time between posts so I thought it was probably better just to summarise what has been going on in the Kloboucek household since the end of last November.
  • We had a lovely Christmas Day with Jayden, the Klobouceks and the Fosters. Jayden got to open his pressies in the morning and really got into it this year, tearing lots of paper and getting excited over the pressies and of course the boxes. We had the morning at the Fosters and the afternoon at the Klobouceks.
  • On the 4th Jan we moved in with Nath's parents while Nath and I were still on holidays. We have moved as our house undergoes major renovations which will probably take between 6-9 months.
  • The week of the 11th January I had to go to Salt Lake City for work. I went from 30 degree temperatures in Brisbane to -7 degrees. It was a very full on week but it was good to be back in the US again. I really like Salt Lake City. It is very safe and it has 4 distinct seasons. Can't say that I will be converting to LDS anytime soon though.
  • On the 22 Jan our house (that didnt get moved to the Klobouceks) was packed up and put into storage. It is hard to believe that all our stuff did manage to fit into a 7x3m shed!
  • On the 1st February we went down to Burleigh Heads for a couple of weeks holiday. The weather was mixed - we had a lot of sunny and hot days but also a number of rainy days. We were just glad to have some time to relax (and not pack!).
  • Also on the 1st Feb our renovations started. By the time we returned from our 2 weeks holiday it was amazing what had already been done.
That's it in a nutshell. A lot has been going on. I cant promise when the next post will be but I hope it will be in the near future!

The latest trend in Milan - the pant hat! Must be worn with only a nappy on!

We had a "party" for Great Grandma's birthday. Endless amounts of fun can be had with the laundry basket. It can be used for a seat.....

Time Flies - Jayden's 1st Birthday

Sorry it has been so long between blogs. I went back to work 3 days a week at the beginning of May so to say things got a bit more hectic would be an understatement. I'm back at Rio Tinto for Mon-Wed. On Monday's Jayden get's looked after by his grandparents alternative weeks so it's not a big burden on them and they love to do it. On Tue-Wed he goes to family daycare at a lady called Sue, right near the Graceville train station. It has worked out really well and Jayden loves it there.

On the 11th June our little man turned one. We had a couple of parties. The first was with the mother's group ladies at our house and the bigger one was with friends and family on the weekend. It was great to catch up with everyone on the day and apologies to those people who managed to cop a $50 fine from the stupid council. Jayden had a great day and couldn't stop playing with the balloons.

As I write this now, Jayden is just getting over his first ear infection. He's on antibiotics to clear that up and medicine for his cold. He has started to get his appetite back as he didn't eat much for a few days. Going to the doctor is fun getting to see his ears. The screams are fun!
